LucasWorks! – Celebrating Ten Years of Excellence!

By LucasWorks! on August 20th, 2014

This afternoon LucasWorks! is celebrating its tenth anniversary as a leading provider of quality human resource solutions across south-western Ontario. We’re holding an anniversary celebration to commemorate this exciting milestone at 2892 Kew Dr. in Windsor, Ontario from 1PM-7PM this afternoon. We are looking forward to seeing all attendees and would like to point out some of the exciting things we have planned.

  1. Donation to a related charity
At 5:30PM today, Maureen Lucas, President and Owner of LucasWorks! will be presenting a cheque for $4,000 to a local charity that strives to assist individuals with job-related skills within the community.
  2. Payment of GED’s
Maureen Lucas also recognizes the need for increased education and skills among the workforce and for this reason she plans on providing some assistance. From August 18, 2014 – August 18, 2015, LucasWorks! will provide compensation for any of their employees who choose to successfully complete their GED.
  3. LucasWorks! Scholarship
LucasWorks! recruiters recognize that providing quality human resource solutions to clients requires a specialized and talented HR professional. They have therefore made the step to support the next generation of workforce professionals by creating two $1,000 scholarships, lasting three years each, which will be provided to one St. Clair College student who is actively involved in volunteer work, whether in the community or within the College itself, and one University of Windsor student who is either involved in starting a business or who is actively involved in start-up programs through the EPICentre.

In addition to all these exciting activities, it is my pleasure to announce that Deanna Davidson’s blog entry was selected from our “My Favourite Things About Working For LucasWorks!” blog contest. Deanna’s entry perfectly encompasses our goal as a leading recruitment agency in south-western Ontario and we hope to continue providing this type of satisfaction to all our employees in the future.

My Favourite Things About Working For LucasWorks!

Dedication is defined as “to set apart and concentrate to a deity or to a sacred purpose”. Since I began my employment with LucasWorks my personal definition of dedication changed to the profound dedication displayed by the LucasWorks human resource specialists. Many individuals experience negative encounters with human resource agencies, my experience has been anything but negative. Each phone call or email response received contains nothing but positive energy and a sense of urgency. Your inquiries, comments or concerns are always at the top of their list.
Compassion isn’t always so easy to come by in our society today. In a world so focused on ourselves, many forget to see the helping hand others may need. LucasWorks Human Resource specialists show their employees that sense of compassion and understanding. Having that sense of reassurance knowing when predicaments arise, a friendly phone call filled with advice is not far away.
The hardest asset to obtain as a young person in today’s working world is experience. Many employers look to hire experienced individuals, but won’t hire you to give you that chance to gain the experience needed. LucasWorks gives you that foot-in-the-door advantage of being able to gain experience right from the start. By looking into your strengthens and weaknesses they are able to help you obtain employment even with minimal to no work experience. This in itself is hard to come by in our working world today and allows younger people to obtain the upper hand when looking for future employment.
The reasons above are just a few of my favorite things about working for LucasWorks.
